Our manager was in islamabad for a while, he said to us how happy he is to be here..
he said they treat their women bad there..
ada kasus dimana seorang perempuan melapor ke polisi karena menjadi korban sexual abuse, n her family -literally- barged in to the room and burn her to death...
itu menurut mereka is an honor killing daripada nama keluarga hancur akibat laporan si korban..
at this moment, I feel very grateful, karena apa yg gw rasakan disini is equal to luxury for them.. although we still have lots of obstacles..

lesson learned: terkadang kita lupa menghargai hal-hal kecil, terkadang kita lupa that we're part of a bigger system.. :)

Prajurit Sabrina Harman, prajurit Amerika yang melakukan penganiayaan di penjara Abu Ghuraib, kemarin dinyatakan tidak bersalah oleh pengadilan militer. Sabrina mengaku berfoto di depan tawanan yang ditelanjangi teman-temannya. Menurut pembela Sabrina, berpose di depan tawanan yang tersiksa bukan suatu kesalahan sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang.(Tempo Newspaper, Friday, May 13, 2005)
What an Irony... sebuah tindakan pelecehan, tindakan yang jelas-jelas undermining humanity of the prisoners dianggap bukanlah suatu kesalahan...

Ini adalah my 1st posting..
minggu ini adalah hari2 melankolis, hari selasa depan adalah 3 tahun my friend -Theo- passed away, if he's still alive, he will be 23 next monday..
I've been thinking about him for the last couple of days.. kok bisa ya?? sesudah 3 tahun..
